Cleveland Turner was known as the ‘Flower Man’ and his folk art was internationally recognized. You may have seen Cleveland riding his bicycle around Houston. As a friend and mentor to me, his spirit and message of hope always lifted me to new heights, in a new direction. For this reason, Cleveland’s Flowers & Gardens was named after him, and our mission is uniquely simple — to take landscape in a new direction.

Residential landscapes and gardens are designed with special attention to color, texture, and sustainability. Our extensive experience with Texas native plants makes your yard a rich environment for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Commercial clients also understand our expertise with drought tolerant and heat tolerant landscapes that are easy to maintain with little maintenance. Landscape consultations are also available. Vertical Gardens
Cleveland’s specializes in vertical garden design, installation, and maintenance. Our residential and commercial clients enjoy turn-key pricing per square foot, and gardens are custom designed for both interior and exterior settings.
Brandscape
We work with businesses to combine their landscaping and signage into one application-a ‘brandscape’. Let us plant your company logo outside of your building or even inside your lobby for a sustainable and fresh approach to your marketing and community recognition.
Living Walls
We collaborate with architecture firms to incorporate our living walls into mixed use developments, luxury retail, office parks, courtyards, atriums, and restaurants. Schools benefit from our mobile living walls, since these can be moved from classroom to classroom.

About Us
Alison O’Neil West has worked in all facets of both residential and commercial landscape design for over 20 years. She worked briefly as a Horticulturalist for Harris County and worked for the landscape architecture firm, Thompson + Hanson. Most recently, she managed the floral department at Central Market-Houston for over seven years, where she sourced wildflowers growers for the HEB-Central Market division and built the ‘Texas Grown’ brand.
She has strong relations with the non-profit community, and was recognized with life membership at the Greater Houston Partnership. There, she served as an Ambassador and co-chair of the Business to Business Committee. Organizations like the Junior League, the Texas France Art Alliance, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Memorial Park Conservancy turned to Alison and her Central Market staff to design centerpieces for fundraisers and galas. She has also consulted on destination weddings in Playa Del Carmen, Telluride, and Breckenridge, Colorado.
Her passion for design and the outdoors drive her to reach out to her community, where she teaches floral design classes and lectures at garden clubs in the greater Houston area.
Most recently, she was awarded recognition by Mayor Anise Parker and Keep Houston Beautiful, for designing the ‘Gratitude Garden’ at Freedom House for Women, a sober home for women with drug and alcohol addiction.
